Grandparents’ Day

We enjoyed such a special day today in school. Emily M’s Grandad John, Emma’s Nana Cepta and Aoibhín’s ‘Annie Mc’ joined us in Mrs Cunneen’s 4th class. John showed us photos from his schooldays which included one of his Communion class of 56 pupils! Anne brought an old ‘tables book’ and some old coins. Cepta had a beautiful ‘brat’ that was worn as part of her Communion outfit which had a stunning hand-embroidered pattern. We are grateful to them for sharing their experiences in such a committed and generous way.
