Recreate Project

5th class were invited to take part in a creative project using materials sent to us from 'Recreate'. We explored and experimented with the properties and characteristics of the selection of materials included in the pack. We made fabulous sea creatures! Have a look at us in action in the video below! We looked at the work of Alejandro Durán who uses art to throw a spotlight the ongoing destruction of our oceans' ecosystems. We watched a breathtaking 'Ted' talk where he showed how he meticulously organizes and reuses plastic waste from around the world that washes up on the Caribbean coast of Mexico to create vivid, environmental artworks that may leave you mesmerized and shocked.
