'Mr. Watson, come here I want to see you.'

Alexander Graham Bell was the inventor of the telephone. The first successful telephone call was made in 1876 when Bell spoke to his partner Thomas Watson and said 'Mr. Watson, come here, I want to see you.' This week we made telephones out of paper cups and string. We learned that sound travels through vibrations. We experimented with our telephones and discovered that the string has to be taught in order for the sound to travel to the other cup. Enjoy this video of us using our telephones!
