We are through to the

All Ireland Volleyball Championships!!

Our 6th Class girls had a fantastic time in March at the annual volleyball tournament in the ALSAA Sports Arena. We played schools from all over Dublin and many of our teams progressed throughout each stage. One Hollypark team made it to the final against Teresians.

It was a tough match but we ended up winning 12-11 which meant that we are now through to the All Ireland Finals in Limerick! We are so excited and want to say a big thank you to Mr Hughes for all his coaching.

The Swim team will now go forward and represent Hollypark GNS at the

Irish National Minor Schools Championships which will be held on

Sunday 9th February in the National Aquatic Centre, Abbotstown, Dublin 15.

This is an amazing achievement for all the girls.  It all comes down to the brilliant team work from all our girls involved and to the parents for the chauffeur services, time management getting the girls to training sessions – it was not an easy task in everyone’s busy lives.

The support in the National Aquatic Centre on Sunday was outstanding, creating an amazing buzz poolside for the swimmers, the girls really pulled the cheering out of the bag.

Thank you all for your great effort, dedication and enthusiasm.

We wish Our Girls the very best at the
Irish National Minor Schools Championships in February!
