As we come to the end of another busy and memorable term, I would like to wish all our pupils, parents, families and staff in Hollypark GNS a very happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. Christmas is a time for reflection, kindness and togetherness, and we are reminded how fortunate we are to be part of such a caring school community. Hollypark GNS is full of warmth, laughter and a strong sense of belonging, thanks to the children, families and staff who make it so. At this time of year, we also keep in our thoughts those less fortunate, especially families and children in Gaza and other war-torn countries, as well as those experiencing homelessness closer to home. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year. We wish everyone a restful break and every good wish for health, peace and happiness in the year ahead. Nollaig Shona agus Athbhliain faoi shéan daoibh go léir. |

Santa Claus is Coming to Hollypark!

We can't wait for tomorrow when Santa Claus makes his annual visit to Hollypark GNS. I can confirm that at this point in time all of our Hollypark girls are on the Good List!!!
Santa would be delighted to see our girls in Christmas jumpers!
Thank you to our PA for inviting Santa to Hollypark and for preparing his grotto!!
Well done Matylda & Nicola!

2nd Class Festive Fun!
We are incredibly proud of our 2nd Class girls, who truly brought the festive spirit to life on Tuesday! They delighted their audiences with 13 wonderful songs across two fantastic shows, filling the hall with joy and celebration. It was a beautiful way to showcase their hard work and dedication - well done to Ms Lamont and Ms McNulty's 2nd Classes!
School Choir
Our School Choir presented a wonderfully joyous concert on Monday evening. Thank you to our school community for yoru generous support of this event. All proceeds raised will be donated to our chosen charities - St Vincent de Paul and Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland - two very worthy causes.
Thank you to all staff who helped make this evening possible - by providing music, sorting tickets, attending the box office and supervising backstage. It couldn't have happened without you.

The very next morning 6th Class choir girls headed to the Four Ferns in Foxrock and had a lovely morning singing with the residents. Thank you to our parents for assisting with transport.

Ten of our 6th Class Choir girls are looking forward to their debut in the 3Arena on Sunday 4th January. They have been quietly rehearsing in the background and are looking forward to stepping on stage with Renegade, the RTE Concert Orchestra and other stars in a very special tribute to Philip Lynott.
We wish the Choir a good rest following their busy term's work. Choir will recommence on Tuesday 13th January when we will start to prepare for Córfhéile na Scoileanna and other school events!
Green Schools

Voluntary Contributions 2025- 2026
Sincere thanks to the 104 families who have already made a Voluntary Contribution to the school for 2025-26.
It may interest our families to know that you can choose to make frequent small payments to your Voluntary Contribution via Aladdin at any time during the school year, up to and including 31st August 2026.
Any and all contributions are very much appreciated and make a real difference to your daughter's learning environment.
PA Update
Feed Our Homeless: Annual Christmas Appeal: Wow!

Sincere thanks to Maryrose and the PA Team for all their work and support of the school throughout this busy term. Wishing our PA and all our parents a very Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
Girls - don't forget - your parents also need a break: help out at home over Christmas and go to bed when you are asked!!!
Traffic and Safety

Please note: It is illegal to park in a way which interferes with traffic flow or obstructs or endangers other road users, for example:
[Dublin Street Parking Services] Once again I am reminding our parents/guardians/minders to drive and park with consideration for our children and our neighbours - many of whom are elderly and vulnerable. |
Morning Drop OffIn the interest of the safety of all pupils, parents/guardians are not permitted to drive into the yard for drop-off or collection. Thank you to the many parents/guardians who abide by this rule. |
One Way Traffic System

Traffic Safety
Please use the church car park at drop off and collection times and walk the last 6 minutes with your child.
80% of our pupils live within 2 kilometres of our school. Please encourage your older children to walk with their pals to and from school.
Please ensure that younger children are held by the hand when walking with them to and from school.
Please do not block the driveways of local residents when parking. Many of our residents – often elderly - are virtual prisoners in their own homes at drop off and collection times. And when they speak up are often subject to abuse.
Please park legally and with care.
As things stand, in the event of an emergency, it is unlikely that a fire tender or ambulance would be able to access the schools, or any homes in the vicinity, at drop off and collection times.
Birthdays this week and during the Christmas Holidays in Hollypark!
