Darcey & Sarah have given an update on their recent matches:
We are currently competing in the Primary Leinster League.We played our first match in the league last week against Glenageary Killiney NS. All three teams and subs won 2-0.Yesterday we were up against The Harold Glasthule. Following a tight round of matches we went to a tie-break and unfortunately, we lost. However, we have two further matches to play and if we are successful we will progress to the next round. Keep an eye on our newsletter for further updates.By Darcey Lavin & Sarah Tighe.Cheerleaders
Yesterday we had visitors from the United States of America to show their cheerleading skills. The girls were thrilled at the talent displayed by the 5 cheerleaders and the atmosphere was lively with the whole school cheering them on with their pompoms.
The girls showed their appreciation for their tricks by clapping to the beat and chanting along with them. They taught everyone some of their favourite cheers. The cheerleaders arrived playing music while dressed in their costumes. The team Mascots came along to support. This was a great experience for the girls and was enjoyed by all.
Huge thanks to parent Kieran Harte for organising this surprise for the girls.

Mass for St Patrick
3rd - 6th Classes will attend 10 o'clock Mass in Foxrock Church tomorrow, Thursday 13th March in honour of St Patrick (our school's patron).
Irish Dancer
Well done to Darcey who dances with Chaney Farrell School of Dancing. Darcey competed in a feis last Sunday and won a number of trophies!

Reminders:
The school has received many complaints of dangerous driving and parking in the vicinity of the school. Children and local residents are being put at risk.
Please use Foxrock Church car park at drop off and collection times and walk the last 6 minutes with your child.
Deansgrange Cemetery has requested that our parent body do not park and stride from the Cemetery carpark.
80% of our pupils live within 2 kilometres of our school. Please encourage your older children to walk with their pals to and from school.
Please ensure that younger children are held by the hand when walking with them to and from school.
Please do not block the driveways of local residents when parking. Many of our residents – often elderly - are virtual prisoners in their own homes at drop off and collection times. And when they speak up are often subject to abuse.
In the event of an emergency, when cars are parked illegally, it is unlikely that a fire tender or ambulance would be able to access the schools, or any homes in the vicinity.
Hollypark GNS & BNS understand and appreciate how busy the roads are each morning. We continue to engage with DLR & An Taisce, Safe Routes to School, for a safer school zone.
