GOAL JERSEY DAY – well done – we raised €1115.00!

WOW - well done to everyone on their huge efforts to meet the

WOW Homework Pass Challenge.

Many girls already have 9 stamps – including a bonus stamp for making it through the torrential showers on Monday morning.

Reminder: School drop-off point (and collection point) will close on a pilot basis from Wednesday 6th November.

Maths Week in Hollypark

We are having a very numerical week in school as we celebrate Maths Week in Hollypark.

Girls have participated in Principal’s Problems, Maths Trails, Quizzes, Tables Queen, Guess the Jellies in the Jar and are generally seeing just how interesting maths can be and how it is very much a part of our everyday lives.

Hollypark Swim Team News

Congratulations to our Hollypark Swim Team who took part in their first gala of the season at the Leinster Swimming Minor School Championships on Sunday 13th October in the National Aquatic Centre.

Two of the squad won individual Leinster events.

Hannah Mulloy - Bronze medal - Girls 11-12 years 50 metre freestyle

Gracie Mulloy - Silver medal- Girls 9-10 years 50 metre freestyle and Gold medal - Girls 9-10 years 50 metre Butterfly

The Swim team will now go forward and represent Hollypark GNS at the

Irish National Minor Schools Championships which will be held on Sunday 9th February 2020 in the National Aquatic Centre, Abbotstown, Dublin 15.

GAA Team Finals in Croke Park

Congratulations to our GAA Team who played a very tight match in the semi-final last Wednesday – ultimately emerging victors over Scoil Mhuire Sandymount and advancing to the Finals in Croke Park.

The girls head to GAA HQ on Tuesday 22nd October where they will play Belgrove GNS, Clontarf.

Two years ago this same Battle of Clontarf ended in a draw…… They will be a tough team to beat but our girls will do their best.

Win or lose we are immensely proud of the girls and 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Classes will be there in force to support them and cheer them on.

The Crocus Project

Next week will be another busy week in Hollypark.

Our 5th Class girls will present The Crocus Project on 22nd, 23rd, 24th October.

As mentioned already half of the school will migrate to Croke Park on Tuesday and on Friday we will have our PA will host our Spooktacular Cake Sale, Raffle and Hallowe’en Dress-up Day.

School will finish at the normal time on Friday 25th October

and will re-open after mid-term on Monday 4th November.

The PT Scheduler has been released to all parents on Aladdin.

Parents/guardians will have until Friday 15th November

to book meetings or to make changes to bookings.

We look forward to welcoming you into the school on

Wednesday 20th & Thursday 21st November for your formal PT meetings.
