What a success our Walk to school On Weekdays has been.

Already we can see a reduction in traffic in our area and many girls have got three stamps on their Record Cards!

Well done to everyone and huge thanks to our parents for supporting this initiative.

And a special thanks to our excellent 6th Classes who have been on hand to stamp and monitor - true school leaders.

To date this term the following classes have been awarded The Golden Boot:

Wednesday 4th September - 5th Ms Mulvaney

Wednesday 11th September - 5th Ms Burns Dooley

Wednesday 18th September - 4th Ms McCahill

Wednesday 25th September - 2nd Ms Lamont

Wednesday 2nd October - 5th Ms Burns Dooley

Green School Committee Reps will tally the walkers in classes daily

and will draw up the weekly totals to see which class will achieve the Golden Boot.

Who will be the winners for this week – the first of our Walk On Weekdays????

Last Thursday we were delighted to welcome our Junior Infant parents to an update and information meeting.

Our Junior Infants have made huge progress in their first few weeks in ‘Big School’.

This is thanks in no small way to their parents, their primary educators, who ensured that they were ready for school

and who continue to support our excellent Junior Infant Team in their work.

This Friday our school will be supporting Goal Jersey Day.

Children should wear a sports t-shirt or jersey of their choice –

any team, any colour - and bring a small donation towards this worthy charity.

Today our GAA team will play Star of the Sea, Sandymount in the semi-finals.

If they win we could be going to Croke Park!

Win or lose I am hugely proud of our GAA teams

and thank you to our excellent coaches and mentors.

Next week we will be celebrating Maths Week in Hollypark with lots of fun and interesting activities including games and quizzes -

definitely something to look forward to!

Today parents will receive an update regarding Aladdin Connect.

As you know our annual PT Meetings will take place on

Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st November.

From next Monday you will be able to book your PT slot on the PT Scheduler on your Aladdin Connect App.

This will be the only method of booking your PT appointment so please ensure that you have downloaded the app to your smart device.

Don’t forget our weekly Headcheck Wednesday!
