Brendan Martin Cup – three-in-a-row!

We are looking forward to welcoming four members of the Ladies Gaelic Football Team who brought home three-in-a-row, to Hollypark on Friday 27th September.

Two of these amazing women are past pupils of Hollypark –

Niamh Collins and Emma McDonagh.

We are delighted to have such terrific role models for our girls.

We ask that girls wear a Dublin jersey or other blue t-shirt on Friday so that the ladies are greeted by a Sea of Blue.

Inspired by these ladies last week our Gaelic Teams

once again set off in search of victory.

This time our opponents were OLGC, Johnston.

A tough opposition - but both our A Team and B Team emerged victorious.

Congratulations ladies – some future champions here no doubt!

Headcheck Wednesday: Don’t forget to regularly fine-comb your daughter’s hair!

We were delighted to celebrate our Opening of the School Year Mass with Hollypark BNS on Thursday 26th September @ 11:30am.

(Classes in attendance: 4th, 5th & 6th)

It was a terrific start to our school year. Thank you to Fr Kieran for a lovely Mass.

It was great to see both schools together and the joint choir further enhanced the beautiful ceremony.

Next Wednesday sees the launch of our new initiative – WOW –

Walk to school On Weekdays.

As a Green School aspiring to achieving our Active Flag we want to encourage the many benefits of walking –

exercise and fresh air, chatting with friends en route, reducing our carbon footprint.

Parents and guardians are welcome to attend our launch at 8:50am in the school yard on Wednesday 2nd October.

An email has issued with all details.

Well done to our Golden Boot Winners on 18th September – Ms Lamont’s 2nd Class.

And to this week’s winners – 4th Class – Ms McCahill!

Many of you will by now have downloaded the

Aladdin Connect App to your smart devices.

Shortly you will have the opportunity to book your Parent Teacher Meeting

slot through the app.

As we all get used to Aladdin Connect further features will be added which we hope will further enhance communication between home and school.

Parent Teacher Meetings will take place on

Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st November 2019.

Congratulations to all our Junior Infants who have made such strides

in their first month in Hollypark.

They certainly are independent young ladies.

We are very proud of our 6th Class girls who have been on hand every morning

to gently shepherd our girls in.

This system will start to phase out over the next number of weeks but with our new Walk to school On Weekdays initiative our 6th Class girls are looking forward to being on hand in the Infant Yard in the mornings.
